The first container train from Budapest to Jinan (PRC)

On October 26, the first container train was sent from the Mahart terminal in Budapest to Jinan (PRC). The train will cross Hungary, Slovakia and Poland on its route, and via the Terespol / Brest border checkpoint the train operated by PJSC TransContainer will follow the track 1520 to the Mongolian-Chinese border. An estimated transit time is 18 days.

The official dispatch ceremony was attended by Duan Jielong, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Hungary, Ren Airong, Vice Governor of Shandong Province, Dr. László, State Secretary of the Ministry of Innovation and Ministry for Innovation and Technology of Hungary, as well as representatives of TransContainer Europe GmbH.

The guests emphasized importance of sending this train for the development of the transport and logistics corridor between China and Hungary, as well as other European countries.

“Container service along this route from Hungary to China is new and very promising for PJSC TransContainer, especially taking into account the active development of collaboration of our branches directly with business representatives in the Shandong province of the People’s Republic of China, where another additional office of TransContainer Freight Forwarding (Shanghai) Co., LTD was opened in Qingdao the other day. In October this year, a container train arranged by PJSC TransContainer already went along the route from China to Budapest with goods from Shandong province. We also appreciate special attention and support of our European partners in the implementation of this project, which has a favorable impact in achieving our common goal of establishing a regular train schedule between the provinces of China and Hungary,” concluded Pavel Shanaytsa, Managing Director of TransContainer Europe, GmbH.
