Service on hazardous cargo delivery in reefers form Korea to Poland has become regular

On February 10, 2020 the second full-length block train loaded with accumulator batteries for LGChem company was dispatched from berth of Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company LLC (VSC is a part of the Global Ports group) at Vostochny port to follow the route Nakhodka – Brest – Wroclaw.

The train consists of reefer containers connected to uninterrupted power supply system. This service allows extending the route potential notably and helps TransContainer’s customers to deliver their cargoes with temperature requirements to Europe safer and faster.

Dispatch of next block trains from VSC to Małaszewicze station (Poland) is scheduled for February 17 and 24.

TransContainer organizes the new service together with Korean Pantos Logistics Company within the program for development of transit freight routes.

VSC terminal, which has become a transshipment port, has the license for handling cargo of hazard class 9. In order to ensure security of such cargo handling at the terminal a set of measures has been taken in accordance with international and national standards for loading/unloading technical conditions.

Transit time of the two first test trains from Busan to Małaszewicze, dispatched in December, 2019 and late January, 2020 was 19 days which is twice faster than deep-sea delivery.
