TransContainer Branch at Privolzhskaya Railway together with Ruscon (Delo Group) launched a brand new delivery service of mineral oils in flexitanks from Sarepta to Novorossiysk exp. and then to ports of Turkey. First dispatch of 12 TransContainer’s flexitanks took place on 9 April, 2020. In the near future up to 80 flexitanks a month will be dispatched along the route on the schedule.

Flexitanks are innovative way of bulk cargo delivery. Flexitank is a flexible tank liner made of specially designed polymer materials and placed in a standard 20 foot container. Use of flexitanks helps to widen nomenclature of cargoes delivered by road, rail and sea.

“Cargo delivery in flexitanks is a cheaper alternative to specialized containers. This is a new promising service which is of a great interest for our customers and which will be highly demanded”, director of TransContainer Branch at Privolzhskaya Railway Boris Borisov said.

“Direct containerization at container yard helps to preserve quality of mineral oils avoiding additional transshipment at port of Novorossiysk. In future geography of shipments and their volume will only grow”, commercial director of Ruscon Branch Ilya Dirkonos said.
