Sergey Shishkarev, Chairman of PJSC TransContainer’s Board of Directors, named top priorities for Company’s development

On May 21, 2020 PJSC TransContainer’s new Board of Directors held its first meeting where the Chairman of the Board Sergey Shishkarev announced the Company’s top priorities for development such as enhancing customer-oriented approach, financial and operational efficiency, market share increase, synergy with other assets of Delo Group, implementation of advanced technology solution

Sergey Shishkarev, re-elected Chairman of the Board, stated that the Company should aim at strengthening its transportation market leadership.

‘Please, join me in making TransContainer a top company, national transportation champion and market leader’, he addressed the members of the Board.

‘Reaching all planned financial and operational goals is vitally important for us. Market share is a key target, we must increase it through better service but not price dumping’, Sergey Shishkarev said.

He cited synergy of TransContainer and stevedore and forwarding companies belonging to Delo Group as another top priority. This synergy is one of the main goals of the Group’s strategy to be designed by the midyear 2020.

The Chairman of PJSC TransContainer’s Board of Directors believes that customer-oriented approach development is also a significant task. ‘I want the Company to pay great attention to retaining and acquiring customers. We have to render services of high class and premium quality so that all our partners and customers willingly recommend us to their companions and colleagues’, he noted.

Digitalization is one of the Company’s priorities as well. According to Sergey Shishkarev it is impossible to keep up with the changes in logistics driven by e-commerce development without implementing advanced solutions for process management, cargo flow tracking, paperwork and interaction with partners. ‘It is necessary that any consignor regardless of its scale should be able to dispatch its cargo anywhere promptly and at a reasonable price.  We are well positioned to render such service’, he told the members of the Board.

There is one more important challenge facing TransContainer team – that is building up most constructive and fair relationship with its former shareholder JSC Russian Railways.

Sergey Shishkarev also reminded that during the meeting with the President of Russia devoted to the transport section development held on May 7, he offered to create a subsidy system for transit container transportation which may allow Russian operators to compete effectively on the global market.

‘I am sure that through synergy and diverse development we’ll prove consistency of our ambitions regarding transit capacity of Russia’, believes the Chairman of PJSC TransContainer’s Board of Directors.
