Quarantine in Manzhouli Declared by Chinese Authorities Hasn’t Affected Operation of Zabaikalsk Container Terminal

Quarantine and lockdown were declared by Chinese authorities in the city of Manzhouli which is a major transport and logistics hub at Russian-Chinese border. The lockdown hasn’t affected operation of Zabaikalsk container terminal (TransContainer PJSC) which is situated close to Manzhouli. Cargo reception and dispatch, terminal handling and customs control of cargoes moving from China still run in full and on schedule.

“Our employees strictly observe all security regulations to prevent spread of coronavirus infection, automatization of working technological processes at the container terminal helps us to work without unnecessary communications. Due to our ISales online service every customer can make an order of a full scope of cargo delivery services, which will be performed in time, not even visiting our terminal or sales offices. Container transportations show stable growth during the whole year, thus they have proved its reliability and safety, this is why we are ready to offer smooth and quality service during the second wave of pandemic outbreak, but naturally we want to avoid it”, stressed Kirill Kudryavtsev, director of TransContainer branch at Zabaikalskaya Railway.
