Logistika-Terminal Shows Steady Handling Pace Increase

According to the results of the year 2020, the volume of container handling at multifunctional logistics center JSC Logistika-Terminal (subsidiary of PJSC TransContainer of Delo Group) has shown significant growth. Volume of container handling involving railway transport reached 170.7 thousand TEUs which is 7% more than in 2019. Overall volume of the terminal handling reached 411.1 thousand TEUs which is also 7% more than the previous year.

Growth of the handling volume was facilitated by increase of the volume of PJSC TransContainer’s services on transportation to Kazakhstan and transportation of reefer containers in domestic traffic, by increase of the transshipment volume of containers with export cargo arriving by railway and further dispatched by marine transport.

For the purpose of further growth of the container handling volume, the terminal is implementing the program of the renewal of the lifting equipment fleet. In January 2021 JSC Logistika-Terminal put into operation new Kalmar container loader (reach-stacker) with lifting capacity of 45 tons. In 2021 it is also planned to purchase one more reach-stacker and two forklift loaders used for general cargo handling. Renewal of the equipment fleet will increase the speed and efficiency of the vehicles handling, allow optimizing operating costs and maintaining the high quality of the service rendered to the Customers.

JSC Logistika-Terminal holds leading positions among logistics terminals of Saint-Petersburg regarding the volume of containers handing involving railway transport. The terminal represents a multifunctional logistics center providing full range of services on container and general cargo handling. Favourable location and well-developed infrastructure of the terminal allows it to increase the volume of container and general cargo handling. The terminal handles both import and export flows of cargo and PJSC TransContainer’s regular public block trains are dispatched from the terminal. The service network includes all the major economical centers beginning from the Urals, from Yekaterinburg to Vladivostok. Besides the terminal has its own temporary storage warehouse maintained by Pushkinsky customs station.
