OJSC TransContainer made the first experimental shipment of a batch of liquid non-hazardous cargo using flexitanks across the territory of the Russian Federation. ransportation became possible thanks to a series of successful tests of flexitanks conducted by JSC TransContainer in late 2009 – early 2010.

For transportation, containers and cars owned by JSC TransContainer are used.

Flexitank is a flexible polymer tank with a volume of up to 24,000 liters, designed to transport liquid cargo in a 20-foot container. The use of flexitank does not require additional equipment or special skills. Flexitank is installed in a standard 20-foot container with the help of two people for 30 minutes. After installation, the product is poured using any pump. Depending on the density of the products, the maximum filling is up to 24,000 liters. The weight of flexitank with fasteners is only 140 kg, which is 0.7% of the weight of the transported product.
