OJSC TransContainer began organizing regular container trains to the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)

JSC TransContainer continues to develop its own multimodal transportation services in the regions of Russia. On February 24, 2010, the company began organizing regular container trains to the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The first two-group container train, which departed from Moscow to the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), consists of 39 long-base well cars of JSC TransContainer.
The transportation route includes several stops: the first unloading will be done at the Berkatit station of the Far Eastern Railway, then the cargo will proceed to Aldan and Tommot (Railways of Yakutia). Time of delivery by rail to the Berkakit station will be 8.5 days, to the Aldan station – 9.5 days, to the Tommot station – 10.5 days. Thus, the arrival of cargo at the first station of the route is expected on March 5, 2010.

Recipients of cargo at the Berkakit station of the Far Eastern Railway, Aldan and Tommot of Yakutian Railways JSC OJSC can be both agents of JSC TransContainer – Container Center Sakhatranslogistic LLC and Yakutsk Container Agency LLC, and actual consignees.
Transportation will be carried out as part of an through line service, which includes terminal handling services at the departure station, the tariff of JSCo RZD, the tariff of Yakutian Railways JSC OJSC, the provision of a car/container to the destination station, terminal handling services at the destination station, trucking services to Yakutsk or to the place of receipt of the goods. In addition to through rate, the advantage of this type of dispatch is the movement of container trains on a certain schedule. This guarantees the customer strict adherence to transit time of transportation to the destination.

Both 20 and 40-foot containers, as well as thermocontainers of JSC TransContainer and containers of other owners are accepted for transportation using the flat cars of JSC TransContainer.

The formation and organization of the dispatch of the train was carried out jointly with Yakutian Railways JSC OJSC.
