TransContainer and Government of Krasnoyarsk Krai Develop Project of Building Regional Transport Logistic Center

PJSC TransContainer of Delo Group has concluded an agreement with the Governor of Krasnoyarsk Krai. Within the framework of this agreement it will elaborate a project of building a Transport Logistic Center (TLC) in the region. Cumulative investment in the project may amount to 1.5 billion rubles within 3 years. The document was signed at St. Petersburg International Economic Forum by Aleksandrs Isurins, President of PJSC TransContainer, and Alexander Uss, Governor of Krasnoyarsk Krai.

The TLC construction is planned after the Government of the Russian Federation creates special economic zone in Krasnoyarsk Krai, where international transport-logistics and manufacturing hub will be built at the premises of Krasnoyarsk and Cheremshanka airports. The hub is to become part of the comprehensive investment project “Siberia of Enisey”.

“We expect that the signed agreement will boost further growth of economics of the region and implementation of “Siberia of Enisey” project. Krasnoyarsk Kraiis a key export region of Russia, upgrading and expansion of its transport and logistics infrastructure will contribute to improvement of logistics and competitiveness of the local enterprises,” noted President of TransContainer Aleksandrs Isurins.

“Now we are on our way to creating a freight hub. Therefore I am very satisfied with this agreement signing. It specifies our current plans as well as a number of major ideas to be implemented in great and important projects. Within the framework of this agreement we consider prospects for intermodal container operator’s participation in building a respective transport infrastructure around airport of Krasnoyarsk. TransContainer and I have also discussed the issue of infrastructure expansion with respect to railway transport of Krasnoyarsk.  We have a challenging task of constructing a modern river port downstream the Enisey which may bring cargo traffic of Trans-Siberian Railway and the Northern Sea Route together,” informed Governor of Krasnoyarsk Region Alexander Uss.
