In the first half of 2011 TransContainer’s total revenue increased by 35.7% to RUR 13,234.5 million compared to the same period of 2010. Gross profit increased 2.7 times to RUR 2,256.7 million. Net income for the reporting period amounted to RUR 1,318.5 million, up 19.5 times compared to the first half of 2010 and 3.3 times higher, compared to the net income for the full year of 2010.

The improvement of key financial metrics resulted mainly from an increase in containertransportation and terminal handling volumes as well as from Company’s activity aimed at an increase in profitability. The Company’s rail container transportation volumes for the first six months of 2011 increased by 18.3% to 654 thousand TEU, terminal handling volumes grew by 13.7% to 784 thousand TEU, compared to the same period of 2010.
