On November 19, 2014, the Russian Institute of Directors upgraded JSC TransContainer its corporate governance rating from 7+ to level 8 (Best Corporate Governance Practices) on the scale of the National Corporate Governance Rating.

According to the Russian Institute of Directors, the rating upgrade reflects a number of significant changes in the corporate governance practices of the company that have occurred since the last rating review in 2011. Among these changes, experts note, in particular, the approval of significant corporate documents (Program for introducing the newly elected members of the Board of Directors of the Company, new versions of the Concept and Policy of the Corporate Risk Management System) and the creation of a collegial executive body – the Management Board.

In accordance with the scale of the National Corporate Governance Rating, a company with National Corporate Governance Rating 8 complies with the requirements of Russian legislation in the field of corporate governance, follows most of the recommendations of the Russian Code of Corporate Conduct and complies with a significant number of recommendations of international best corporate governance practices. The risks of loss of ownership associated with the quality of corporate governance are negligible.
