Today, 23 April, in the framework of the TransRussia 2014, the XIX Moscow international Exhibition and Conference on transportation and logistics, an agreement was signed between JSC TransCont­ainer and LLC Mechel-Trans. In line with this agreement TransContai­ner will provide multimodal cargo shipments of Mechel's various cargo types. 

Currently TransCo­ntainer provides about 400-450 containers TEU of industrial cargo from the Mechel's plants to various sales agents in Russia and abroad.

Cooperation with TransCon­tainer in new format will definitely improve the system of container transportation  of the Mechel Group, - Sergey Kulakov, managing director of Mechel-Trans was quoted as saying. He also added, - More than that we will be able to improve the quality of logistics service on our geographical routes that should positively influence the cost of goods sold.

TransCont­ainer treats the Mechel group as its reliable partner. General director Petr Baskakov was quoted as saying, - This agreement should result in our systemised and hopefully long-term relationship.Geography of our business spreads not only within Russia but also the CIS countries and Asia-Pacific region. We possess the full scale of high quality service demanded by the Mechel Group in container transportation segment.
