TransContainer Launches Container Train Baltiysky Wind Jointly with Hoptrans Projects
TransContainer and its Lithuanian agent Hoptrans Projects launched new container train Baltiysky Wind on the route Panyaray (Lithuania) - Kazakhstan with further shipment of containers to the Central Asia stations.
On 26 September 2013 first train with automobile components departed from the Panyaray station of the Lithuanian railways to the Kustanay station of the Kazakhstan railways. The travel time was 5 days.
Main purpose of the Baltiysky Wind train is to provide regular shipment service in containers to various clients from Lithuania to Central Asia and broaden the possibilities of Russian transit on the Baltic-Asia route.
Going further the frequency of the train departure is planned at 2-3 times per month.
