JSC TransContainer launches a new container train on the route Saint Petersburg - Nakhodka. The first train with consumer goods was launched on August 26, 2014 from the terminal station of Saint Petersburg-Tovarniy-Vitebskiy to destination Nakhodka-Vostocnaya of the Far Eastern Railway. Time en route is 9 days with the distance traveled 9700 km. The estimated frequency of trains is one per two weeks. 
The proposed service will allow customers not only to significantly reduce the transit time of railroad-marine transportation of cargoes to Magadan, Petropavlovsk-kamchatskiy and Korsakov, but also give them the opportunity to get a discount on rail fare.
