JSC TransContainer launched new block train on the route Saint-Petersburg-Tovarny-Vitebsky – Batareynaya. First train with consumer goods departed on 10 April 2014 from the terminal of the Company at the Saint-Petersburg-Tovarny-Vitebsky station of the Oktyabrskaya railway to the destination point Batareynaya station of the East-Siberian railway.

Estimated time of the route is 6 days and the length of the route is 5,500 km. 
Next train is to depart on 24 April 2014 and the Company plans further to increase the number of trains to three per month.

The train is oriented for transportation of ISO containers of the Company and third parties
Currently the frequency of train is two times a month.

The block train service not only minimizes the time of delivery but also allows to get a discount to railway tariff.
