angle-left null PJSC "TransContainer" (Russia) and LLC "LDZ Logistics" (Latvia) signed memorandum of cooperation

On November 5, in Riga, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the subsidiary of the Latvian Railways – LDZ Loģistika and PJSC TransContainer.

According to the signed document, the parties intend to attract and develop additional freight flows from China to Latvia and back using container trains, as well as introduce new joint transport products on the international transport market. In addition, the parties intend to intensify activities in the field of organizing preliminary informing of customs authorities in the process of organizing transportation.

The cooperation provides for the exchange of relevant information in the field of logistics for the transport of foreign trade goods with the participation of the parties, the preparation and implementation of proposals for attracting and developing additional freight flows and the conduct of joint marketing research in the field of freight transportation by rail.

On behalf of LDZ Loģistika, the memorandum was signed by Chairman of the Board Werners Lusis, and on behalf of PJSC TransContainer – by Director of Logistics Yuriy Sukmanov.

Recall that the first test train sent on the route Yiwu – Zabaykalsk – Riga, arrived in Riga on November 5. The transportation was organized by LDZ Loģistika and Chinese Railways in cooperation with
PJSC TransContainer.

From the Zabaykalsk station, where the transshipment was provided at own terminal of PJSC TransContainer, to the border with Latvia, the train proceeded for less than 7 days ahead of schedule.
