TransContainer presented a new service from France

At the SITL-2018 exhibition in Paris, a presentation of the new container service of  PJSC TransContainer between France, Russia and China took place.

Trains will run along the routes Dourges (France) – Moscow and Dourges (France) – China. Test dispatch is scheduled for April, at the initial stage the frequency of dispatch will be 1 train per month. A transport solution for these routes has already been formed and the issue of organizing additional container flow to Dourges is currently being resolved.

It is planned that shipments on this route will be carried out both through Brest and through the Dobra terminal in Slovakia. The new service will ensure the delivery of goods from Europe as soon as possible at a competitive cost of transportation.

“Most of the transit container cargo from Europe to Asia is now consolidating in Germany, but France is a source of intracontinental cargo, where goods from Spain, Portugal and France are accumulated with their further shipment to the east. In this way, reloading of containers arriving from China to Europe will be carried out, which will reduce empty run,” said Pavel Shanaytsa, Managing Director of OJSC TransContainerEuropeGmbH.
