On November 25, in the framework of the forum “Strategic Partnership 1,520: Caspian Region” in Baku, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between PJSC TransContainer and Azerbaijan Railways CJSC.

According to the signed document, the parties intend to develop favorable conditions for intermodal transportation along the North-South International Transport Corridor using innovative technologies and combined transport capabilities. In addition, the parties intend to improve the quality of transportation of goods following both export, import, and transit communications.

The cooperation provides for the exchange of relevant information in the field of logistics for the transport of foreign trade goods with the participation of the parties, the preparation and implementation of proposals for attracting and developing additional freight flows along the North-South International Transport Corridor using container trains and conducting joint marketing research in the field of rail freight transportation.

On behalf of CJSC Azerbaijan Railways, the memorandum was signed by the Deputy Chairman Aslanov Vusal Yusif oglu, on behalf of PJSC TransContainer – General Director Petr Baskakov acted as a signatory.
