The first train of TransContainer's own railcars was sent on March 7, 2015 from Artem-Primorsky terminal station of Far Eastern Railway to destination Saint Petersburg-Tovarniy-Vitebskiy  of October railway.

Time en route is 9 days with the distance traveled 9266 km. 

The estimated frequency of trains is one per two week.

The Blocktrain railroad transportation is cheaper and faster than based on marine line one so the new TransContainer service is more than competitive for clients in Asia Pacific geographic area. Also it's useful for Moscow - Saint Petersburg transportations instead of track delivery.
