According to the results of the first half of 2010, the revenue of JSC TransContainer under RAS increased by 26.9% compared to the same period in 2009 and amounted to 9,753.2 million rubles. Profit from sales over this period increased by 28.2% compared to the same period in 2009 and amounted to 823.3 million rubles. Net profit for the six months amounted to 67.6 million rubles, which is 3 times more than net profit for the entire 2009.

The volume of transportation on the Company’s well cars for the first half of 2010 amounted to 552.4 thousand TEUs, which is 1.4% higher than the volume of transportation for the same period of the last year, of which 334.2 thousand TEUs were transported in domestic traffic, and 218.2 thousand TEUs – in international traffic. At the same time, the volume of cargo transportation using the Company’s own flat cars in the 2nd quarter of 2010 increased by 17.9% compared with the 1st quarter of 2010, including in domestic traffic – by 12.6%, in international traffic – by 26.6%

For the first half of 2010, 727 thousand TEUs were handled at the Company’s terminals, which is 6.7% higher than the level of the first half of 2009.
The improvement of the main financial and production performance indicators of the Company is due to increased sales of services of JSC TransContainer against the background of the ongoing recovery of the railway container traffic market.
