PJSC TransContainer of Delo Group and International Logistics CRCT Rus LLC (part of China Railway Container Transport (CRCT), a subsidiary of Chinese Railways) have signed a memorandum of cooperation for development of container traffic between Russia and China. The memorandum was signed at the international exhibition TransRussia 2022 by President of PJSC TransContainer Aleksandr Isurin and General Director of International Logistics CRCT Rus LLC Li Kefu.

Under the memorandum, the Chinese party will give priority to TransContainer's service when organizing import and export shipments to/from China. At the same time, the parties intend to promote development of multimodal transit traffic through Russia in order to create a sustainable demand for cargo transportation in containers, as well as to increase the attractiveness and competitiveness of such transportation. The parties will also strive to balance export-import and transit cargo flows and do their best to minimize empty runs of equipment and increase the efficiency of the container fleet and rolling stock use.

“The agreement with our Chinese partners will contribute to further development of the East-West international transport corridor, expand the number of options for delivering cargo from China to Russia and other countries, as well as allow to take full advantage of the transit potential of Russia,” pointed out Aleksandr Isurin.

“Cooperation with our strategic partner, TransContainer, will be a crucial step in strengthening cooperation between China and Russia in the logistics sector. I believe that the trusting and long-term partnership between our companies will contribute to the increase of volume of export and import traffic between Russia and China,” said Li Kefu.
