PJSC TransContainer of Delo Group and Magnit Retail Chain have agreed to cooperate in organizing the goods delivery from China and Southeast Asia for sale at the retailer's stores.

The respective document was signed by Victor Markov, First Vice-President of TransContainer, and Fedor Pavlovsky, Chief Supply Chain and Logistics Officer of Magnit Retail Chain, within the framework of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

According to the agreements, TransContainer will develop new logistics solutions for import cargo transportation in containers, taking into account the geography of Magnit's imports. Synergy of the companies’ expertise will allow the retail chain to increase the efficiency of its own distribution, improve the service level and investigate alternative markets for import products from China and other Asian countries.

So far, the first shipment of non-food products from China to Russia via Vostochny port has already been launched as part of cooperation between Magnit and TransContainer. This will allow the companies to assess the economic effect of joint activities and test operational processes.
