PJSC TransContainer of Delo Group together with Russian Railways and Russian Post launched a mail block train “Russia” from Vladivostok to Moscow Region. The service from Pervaya Rechka station to Ramenskoe station is aimed at transportation of postal items and commercial consolidated cargo.

The first train left Vladivostok on March 23 and arrived at destination station on April 1. Shipments as part of a mail block train offer the possibility of uncoupling and attaching fitting platforms with containers along the Trans-Siberian Railway. This is the first time such a product has been offered on the Russian transport and logistics market. In particular, while the train is on route, it is possible to rotate fitting platforms at the stations of large cities, including Khabarovsk, Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Tyumen, Ekaterinburg and Kazan.

As part of the service, TransContainer provides its own containers and platforms. In April, it is planned to dispatch “Russia” train backwards, in the future it will run along the route on a weekly basis.
