TransContainer Launches Multimodal Service for Auto Parts Transportation from Turkey to Kazakhstan

TransContainer of Delo Group will launch new multimodal service for auto parts transportation from Turkey to Kazakhstan via the ports of Istanbul and Novorossiysk and border-crossing point of Ozinki (Saratov region) – Semiglaviy Mar (Kazakhstan).

This is the first service of TransContainer in Turkey-Kazakhstan traffic, it is aimed at transportation of cargo for the needs of local auto manufacturers. On a monthly basis the containers will be dispatched by trucks from Bursa (Turkey) to Istanbul port, then by sea to NUTEP container terminal (part of DeloPorts, a stevedoring asset of Delo Group) and further to Burunday station (Almaty region). The transit time will be about 30 days, the expected volume of transportation is 40-80 units of 40-foot containers a month. The first shipment is scheduled for early June.

Within the framework of the service TransContainer will provide its own equipment and arrange for trucking to Istanbul port, sea transportation to Novorossiysk port and railway transportation from NUTEP container terminal to destination point in Kazakhstan.

“Launch of the new service via NUTEP container terminal in synergy with the assets of Delo Group will allow us to expand our line of multimodal solutions for cargo delivery from Turkey to Central Asia. We can arrange for cargo transportation in our own or leased containers while our rich experience of multimodal routes development and availability of own depot in Turkey makes it possible to offer our customers a profitable and reliable service. Today TransContainer pays particular attention to development of transportation to/from Turkey, we intend to continue expanding our portfolio of services in this traffic,” said Nikita Pushkarev, Sales and Customer Service Director of TransContainer.
