 Acquisition of 100% stake in JSC Logistika-Terminal

 

PJSC TransContainer (LSE ticker: TRCN) (the "Company") today announces that it has signed an agreement to purchase 100% stake in JSC Logistika Terminal, one of the most modern inland container terminals in the North-Western region of Russia, from First Container Terminal Inc., a subsidiary of Global Ports Investments Plc. The cash-based RUB 1.9 billion transaction is to be completed upon receiving all the relevant regulatory approvals.

This acquisition will strengthen the Company's offering of providing its customers with the high-quality intermodal container transportation services, as well as enhance the Company's position as the leading intermodal container operator in Russia.

JSC Logistika Terminal operates a rail-based container terminal in Shushary, which is in the close proximity to Saint-Petersburg. It was put into operation in 2010 and provides a wide range of container freight station and dry port services.  In 2016, the container handling volumes of JSC Logistika Terminal amounted to 174 thousand TEU, up 58% year-on-year.
