TransContainer launched a new route from China to Europe through the Kaliningrad region

PJSC TransContainer arranged for dispatch of a container train from Yantai, the Chinese city to Europe through the Kaliningrad region. Its route passed through Mongolia, Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, with destinations at Poland and Germany.

A train with 82 TEUs of consumer goods departed on August 31, 2019 along the route Yantai - Zamyn-Uud - Naushki - Sovetsk - Mamonovo - Hamburg. The containers arrived at Poland on September 15. The cargoes are to reach the final consumer on September 17th. Containers and platforms of PJSC TransContainer itself were used for transportation.

“I wish to emphasize the speed of transferring the train to Poland to the Mamonovo station. We were convinced of the prospects of the transit route through the Kaliningrad region, which, in case it is efficient from economics point of view, must be actively developed and used,” said Vyacheslav Saraev, the General Director of TransContainer, estimating the results of the first shipment.

In the future, shipment of cargoes along the route Yantai - Zamyn-Uud - Naushki - Sovetsk - Mamonovo - Hamburg is to be carried out on a regular basis.
