The 1^st Russian regional business forum TRANSCONTAINER organized by RZhD’s affiliate JSC TransContainer for its customers and partners in the Volga Federal District closed Today, June 5, 2009, in Nizhny Novgorod.

About two hundred delegates attended the forum. The Head of the Economic Policy Department of the Presidential Plenipotentiary Office for the Volga Federal District Salavat Baitimirov, the Investment Policy Minister for the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the manager of transport department of RZhD Alexey Mironov and the General Manager of Gorky railway Sergey Kozyrev opened the plenary meeting.

The managers of the federal and regional branch departments alongside with a bunch of cargo owners took part in the round tables devoted to organization of container shipping for oil, chemical and food industries, streamlining of the document management, facilitating the en-route cargo insurance procedure and pricing policy.

Peter Baskakov, the CEO of TransContainer, presented the innovative products in the company’s comprehensive service system.

The forum yielded an agreement on the mutually beneficial cooperation on rail container operations between JSC TransContainer, JSC Vyksa Metallurgical Plant and Kuibyshev Azot.

“Today JSC TransContainer’s development policy lies in generating demand through customization of services and such customer-oriented forums are very efficient”, said Peter Baskakov after the agreement was signed.
