In 2008, JSC TransContainer earnings calculated against RAS amounted to 20.2 billion roubles, which is 50.6% higher than the 2007 result. The Company’s net profit increased by 70% to reach 2.7 billion roubles. The Company’s assets as of 31 December 2008 amounted to 26.9 billion roubles, which is 32.6% higher than the 2007 result.

The Company’s freight traffic volume transported by its own rolling stock grew by 15.3% in 2008 against 2007 and amounted to 1.5 million TEU, out of which 629 thousand TEU accounted for international transportation, which is 32.2% more than the year before.

The Company’s terminals handled 1.9 million TEU in 2008, which 3.6% less than the 2007 result.
