GAMMA 5+ Rating Assigned to JSC TransContainer
On 15 September 2008 15 сентября 2008 года Standard & Poor's Corporate Governance Rating Service announced that it assigned GAMMA (Governance, Accountability, Management, Metrics and Analysis) rating to Open JSC TransContaine, Russia’s leading container transport company.
GAMMA rating is based on four analysis components scores. It uses a scale varying from 1 (low) to 10 (high) scores.
TransContainer JSC scores are as follows:
- Shareholder Influence - 5+
- Shareholder Rights - 6+
- Transparency, Audit, and Enterprise Risk Management - 5
- Board Effectiveness, Strategic Process, and Compensation practices - 5
According to Standard & Poor’s analysts, the majority stakeholder, Russian Railways, intends to maintain constructive relations with minority stakeholders and promote strong corporate governance practices at TransContainer.
