On January 21, 2011, in Dobra (Slovakia) a solemn acceptance of an experimental batch of articulation-type fitting platforms produced by Tatravagonka JSC for TransContainer OJSC took place. Participants of the ceremony included Yan Figel - Vice-Premier of the government of Slovakia – Minister of Transport of Slovakia, Vladimir Yakunin – President of Russian Railways OJSC, Petr Baskakov – General Director of TransContainer OJSC, Alexey Belyaev – General Director of Tatravagonka JSC, Kirill Lipa – a member of the Board of Directors of Transmash OJSC, Vladimir Luptak – General Director of Slovakian Railways, and others.

Currently an articulated fitting platform for transportation of high-capacity containers is innovative and complies with trends of development of the railway container cargo transportation market.

The sales and purchase contract for delivery 300 articulated platforms of 13-9851 model was signed between TransContainer OJSC and Tatravagonka JSC in May 2009. A new platform successfully passed all acceptance tests last March in Kolomna (Moscow region), and after that a Safety Norms Compliance Certificate was obtained for it.

TransContainer OJSC is constantly working on renewal of its own fleet of fitting platforms and is interested in appearance innovative rolling stock on the Russian market of railway container transportation. The company supports plans to create a joint venture between Tatravagonka JSC and Integrirovannaya Vagonostroitelnaya Kompaniya which is a subsidiary TMH-vagonostroyeniye LLC. The joint venture will be specialized in production of state-of-the-industry railway rolling stock at Transmash’s factory (the company is controlled by Integrirovannaya Vagonostroitelnaya Kompaniya).

TransContainer OJSC and Transmash OJSC signed the Letter of intent during the ceremony which contains intentions of parties on extension of cooperation in the field of development of railway container market. The document was signed by P.Baskakov – General Director of TransContainer OJSC, and K.Lipa – a member of the Board of Directors of Transmash OJSC. In accordance with the document TransContainer OJSC will render support in development of the requirements specification for construction of new type platforms and will submit their comments relating to their operation.

By results of monitoring of operation of pilot batches of new type platforms TransContainer OJSC will submit information about supplementation of the requirements specification with using of the stated railway rolling stock on all routs along 1520 mm. In its turn, Transmash OJSC will contribute to launch of new type fitting platforms on the Russian market of container transportations.
