On 3 December 2013, under the 3rd All-Russian Forum on Corporate Governance, a ceremony took place to present the 8th National Award “Director of the Year.” The ceremony announced the rankings of the best professionals in corporate governance and named the winners and awardees.

Independent member of the Board of Directors of JSC TransContainer Irina Shytkina, were recognized among awardees in the category "Independent Director."

Alexander Ikonnikov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Independent Directors Association, pointed out a special meaning of the professional rankings in corporate governance. He said, “They are the ones whose contribution has a substantial impact on increasing the quality of corporate governance in Russia and raising its value.”

The National Award “Director of the year” has been conducted since 2006. The award’s organizers are the Independent Directors Association and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs in cooperation with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Moscow Exchange.
