A branch of JSC TransContainer on the Oktyabrskaya Railway sent the 100th technical train.

The first technical train from the terminal at the SPb Tovarny Vitebsky station was sent on July 17, 2011. Such trains, consisting of the cars of the JSC TransContainer fleet and other owners loaded with large containers, are currently being sent to Yekaterinburg (Sverdlovskaya Railway), Inskaya (West Siberian Railway) and Khabarovsk (Far Eastern Railway).

Sending technical container trains in accordance with the amended plan of formation without rehandling at distributing stations can significantly reduce the time of cargo delivery, improve the turnover of cars and containers, improving the quality of services provided to the customer.

In the future, a branch of JSC TransContainer on the Oktyabrskaya Railway plans to send direct container trains – in particular, to Vladivostok.
