According to the results of 9 months of 2010, the revenue of JSC TransContainer according to Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) increased by 37.5% compared to the same period of 2009 and amounted to 16,401.1 million rubles. Profit from sales over the same period increased by 67.5% compared to the same period in 2009 and amounted to 1,487.6 million rubles. Net profit for 9 months of 2010 amounted to 277.3 million rubles, exceeding more than 8 times the net profit for the same period of 2009.

The volume of transportation on the Company’s well cars for 9 months of 2010 amounted to 869 thousand TEUs, which is 5% higher than the volume of transportation for the same period in 2009, of which 522 thousand TEUs were transported in domestic traffic, and 347 thousand TEUs – in international traffic. At the same time, the volume of cargo transportation using the Company’s own containers for 9 months of 2010 increased by 18.1% compared to the same period in 2009.

During the 9 months of 2010, 1,166 thousand TEUs were handled at the Company’s terminals, which is 8.6% higher than the result of 9 months of 2009.
The improvement of the main financial and production indicators of the Company’s activity is due to the continuation of the Company’s policy aimed at increasing the profitability of the business of JSC TransContainer against the backdrop of the ongoing recovery of the container traffic market.
