The newspaper Kommersant (No. 175 of September 20, 2011) published the twelfth annual ranking of the country’s best managers. This is a joint project of the Russian Managers Association and Kommersant. The project “Top 1000 Russian Managers” exists since 2001. The rating identifies the most professional managers in each specific niche of the economy.

The organizers evaluated the work of top managers not by the performance indicators of their companies (production volume, revenue, etc.), but by analyzing the professional reputation determined by an expert survey.

General Director of JSC TransContainer, Petr Baskakov, was included in the rating of the top leaders in the industry category TRANSPORT. The following managers of JSC TransContainer were also included into the Top 1000 Russian managers: Viktor Markov, Director for Legal Affairs and Property Management (rating of directors for relations with government bodies), Andrey Zhemchugov, Director of the Stock Market and Investor Relations (rating of directors for public and corporate relations) and Olga Miller, Corporate Governance Director (corporate governance rating).
