TransContainer Arranges Train from China to Austria and Italy

PJSC TransContainer of Delo Group together with Rail Cargo Austria arranged first dispatch of a transit train from China to Austria and Italy.

The train consisting of 50 containers loaded with consumer goods was dispatched from Qingdao on July 25. The route passes through the border-crossing points of Zamyn-Uud, Naushki, Krasnoe-Osipovka and Brest-Malaszewicze where the containers will be reloaded onto wagons of European gauge and delivered to Austria and Italy across Poland and the Czech Republic. Total transit time to Linz and Milan will be 22 and 23 days respectively.

Within the framework of this shipment TransContainer provides containers along the whole route and rolling stock along 1520 gauge from Zamyn-Uud between China and Mongolia to Brest-Malaszewicze between Belarus and Poland. PJSC TransContainer’s subsidiary company TransContainer Europe coordinates the transportation process including interaction with Rail Cargo Austria with respect to European part of the route.

“TransContainer’s extensive presence network allows us to monitor every step of transportation thus guaranteeing reliability and speed of delivery. We expect such dispatches to become regular beginning from September and we also consider the possibility to arrange the same service via Zabaikalsk,” noted Vladimir Khlutkov, Asia-Pacific Business Development Director of PJSC Trans Container.
