TransContainer Increased Revenue Transportation by 2.6% in 2023

Revenue transportation of PJSC TransContainer (part of Delo Group) increased by 2.6% up to 2.18 mln TEUs in 2023.  It was mainly driven by import and domestic transportation. Volume of these transportations increased by 10.1% (up to 606,000 TEUs) and 5.9% (up to 716,000 TEUs) respectively.

A surplus of containers at Moscow transportation hub and attractive rates for eastbound shipments stimulated demand on domestic routes. Among other things, this flow was used to deliver containers to the country's key export centers for further exports to China and other countries where imports to Russia originate.

In its turn, imports maintained positive dynamics despite the weakening of the ruble exchange rate. In the second half of 2023, transit growth was observed primarily due to the flow of Belarusian cargo through the North-West ports of Russia, as well as transportation of Korean and Chinese auto parts to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

The company's revenue transportation indicator is made up of the transportation volume of its own and attracted loaded containers and loaded and empty containers of third-party owners.
