PJSC TransContainer of Delo Group and Ozernoe LLC (under management of Highland Gold Group) have concluded an agreement on developing cooperation when arranging export and domestic transportation of concentrate from Ozerniy mining and processing plant (MPP) which is currently under construction.

Sergey Mukhin, Commercial Vice President of PJSC TransContainer, and Aleksey Surkov, Commercial Director of Highland Gold, signed the respective document within the framework of the international exhibition TransRussia 2022.

Under the agreement TransContainer will render integrated services to ensure export and domestic transportation of MPP’s product: the cargo will be dispatched from Ozernoe village (Republic of Buryatia) to TransContainer’s terminal in Chita, further it will be sent to destination points by block trains.

“We are glad to be able to render our partners from Highland Gold full package of logistics services during transportation of MPP’s product to the ultimate consumers, which includes, first of all, high traffic speed due to dispatch by block trains. Taking into account that Ozerniy MPP is planning to manufacture almost 700 thousand tons of product per year, in the long term we may consider weekly dispatches of full-length trains,” noted Sergey Mukhin.

“Ozerniy MMP is going to supply significant amount of zink and lead concentrates as early as 2023, therefore it is vitally important for us to ensure safe and smooth logistics for the product. We consider TransContainer as a reliable partner and do not rule out that the current agreement may be extrapolated to other enterprises of Highland Gold in the future,” said Alexey Surkov.
