PJSC TransContainer (part of Delo Group) strengthens cooperation with Rostov region as part of Rostov-Tovarniy (Severo-Kavkazskaya Railway) container terminal modernization project.

The relevant agreement has been signed in the framework of Transport week 2023 Forum by Valery Veremeev, first vice-president of TransContainer, and Vladimir Okunev, deputy governor – minister of transport of Rostov Region.

The subject of the agreement is modernization of container yards at Rostov-Tovarniy terminal with preliminary investment estimates of RUB 140 million rubles. The agreement with the Government of Rostov Region will contribute to the successful implementation of the project.
Prerequisite for development of the terminal was almost 70 percent growth in container handling in 2022. Modernization of the container yard will significantly increase the terminal's processing capacity.

“Taking into account significant contribution of Rostov Region to Russian economics and its favorable geographic location, TransContainer always considered the Region to be a priority one for development of multimodal transport infrastructure. I am sure that realization of the project will add to effectiveness of logistics solutions, and will attract additional cargo volume to the Region, increase the customer base, and thus contribute to the development of business in Southern Russia”, Valery Veremeev noted.
