TransContainer Launches New Service for Cargo Transportation from China to Rostov and Krasnodar Regions via Russian Far East

PJSC TransContainer of Delo Group has launched a new multimodal service for import cargo transportation from China to Rostov and Krasnodar Regions via the terminal of Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company (VSC, part of Global Ports, co-controlling shareholder of which is Delo Group).

The service is focused on transportation of consumer goods for the needs of Russian small, medium-sized, and large enterprises. TransContainer provides its own equipment and arranges for sea-leg transportation as well as railway and motor transportation over Russia. The cargo will be distributed to the locations in Rostov and Krasnodar Regions from the company’s terminal at Rostov-Tovarny station in destination point. VSC in its turn provides services on containers transshipment and documentary support at Vostochny port.

First block train will be dispatched from Nakhodka-Vostochnaya station to Rostov-Tovarny in June, in the future it is planned to dispatch 2-4 trains a month. Sea transportation from Taicang, Ningbo and Dalian will take 4 days, railway transportation – 12 days.

“Control over the assets on each leg of the multimodal chain as well as smooth interaction with our colleagues from Global Ports make it possible to promptly develop new efficient transportation solutions via the Russian Far East, which is especially relevant in the context of cargo flow shift from the northwest and south routs to routes through the Eastern polygon along with high workload of overland border-crossing points,” noted Nikita Pushkarev, Sales and Customer Service Director of PJSC TransContainer.
